Minutes

1. Call to Order

Mike Kinne called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

2. Pledge of Allegiance

Mr. Kinne asked all present to stand and Pledge Allegiance to the flag.

3. Roll Call

Roll Call was taken and members present were:

  • Cindy Newell
  • Mike Kinne
  • Rosalyn Miller
  • Becky Myers
  • Bill Brislen – Excused Absent

4. Motion to approve the agenda and meeting rules.

A motion was made by Rosalyn Miller with support from Cindy Newell to approve the agenda and meeting rules.  The motion carried.

5. Motion to approve previous minutes of April 27, 2026 meeting.

A motion was made by Cindy Newell with support from Becky Myers to approve the minutes of April 27, 2026 meeting.  The motion carried.

6. Motion to open a Public Hearing for the following

Temple Baptist Church Site Plan Review

A motion was made by Becky Myers with support from Rosalyn Miller to open the Public Hearing for the Site Plan Review.

7.Review by the Zoning Administrator and/or Legal counsel

Matt Jorgensen stated the site plan is for a 30 x 40 pavilion to be built by the ball park at the church. All permits have been approved and he sees no issues on the build.

8.Comments from the applicant/public

Neighbors by the church stated they had no problem with the pavilion being built. Michael Harris from the church thanked the board for their consideration.

9. Motion to close the public hearing

A motion was made by Becky Myers with support from Rosalyn Miller to close the public hearing at 7:30 p.m. The motion carried.

10. Deliberation by the Planning Commission

Cindy Newell asked if there would be a partial refund for the special meeting that didn’t take place.

11. Motion by the Planning Commission for approval, approve with conditions or deny the site plan.

A motion was made by Rosalyn Miller with support from Cindy Newell to approve the site plan. The motion carried.

12. Old business

None

13. New Business

Mr. Jorgensen talked about several Zoning Ordinance Amendments that he would like to change the definitions on and will be in contact with our legal counsel regarding them and will discuss them at the October meeting.

14. Motion to adjourn the meeting.

A motion was made by Rosalyn Miller with support from Becky Myers to adjourn the meeting at 8:33 p.m.  The motion carried.
